Trend Micro offers a free online on-demand scanner for viruses, Trojans, worms, and other malware. This scan is provided free from the Trend Micro website and allows users to do a full system scan or do a custom scan of specific files and folders. House Call uses Trend Micro’s Smart Protection Network to help ensure scans catch the latest threats. It will scan your computer regardless or your status of your current security software.

When house call is started it will download a small executable file that manages the download of  local scanning components like the scan engine, pattern and configuration files.
