Are you running out of USB ports? The Infinite USB concept is designed by Chinese student Gonglue Jiang and it eliminates the need for bulky USB hubs to connect your devices to your laptop. It allows daisy chaining of your devices via the special USB cable and the plugs are color coded to help identify the device that is connected. Power will be a problem as more devices are added and there is an external power connector to help combat this problem.
The designer calls his product Infinite USB but daisy chaining only allows up to 127 devices, so technically it will not be infinite. I also wonder about connecting more than four devices because that might just look a bit awkward as the chain gets longer. Then if I want to remove one specific Infinite USB from the chain I will have to disconnect all the other devices behind it.
